Man dies after attempting to stab Mali President

The man who allegedly attempted to stab Mali’s President, has reportedly died .
Reports by BBC and local media reports in Mali say the man died while under guard in a hospital.
He had reportedly attempted to stab interim President Assimi Goïta, in a mosque in Bamako last week.
Reports say the attacker has not been identified.
The Malian Government is reported to have said the man’s health had deteriorated in custody and he was taken to hospital, where he died.
