The Chief Executive of Integrity Logistics and Consult Limited, Yaa Amoako-Adu has emerged as the ‘Outstanding Woman of the year in oil and gas’ at this year’s Ghana Outstanding Women of the year Awards (GOWA) which came off at the Mariott Hotel in Accra on Friday October 1.
With fierce competition from Sandra Ankobea, Kadijah Amoah and Beatrice Mensah Tayui, Yaa Amoako-Adu towered over them with her outstanding contribution to Ghana’s oil and gas in the review year.
In an acceptance speech after receiving the award, Miss Amoako-Adu appreciated the organizers for the initiative to recognize the works of women in their various fields. “It is an honour to receive this award in a male dominated field like oil and gas. This is to inspire other young women out there that it possible to be who you want to be. I appreciate everyone who voted for me and my colleagues as well as my loved ones” Miss Amoako-Adu who is also a local partner of Apave Ghana Inspection said in an acceptance speech.
She was as well nominated for Entrepreneur of the year and the overall Outstanding woman of the year award which was won by TV Personality, Deloris Frimpong Manso popularly known as Delay.
