Empire FM’s Naa Ayorkor to be laid to rest July 2

The Business Manager for Empire FM, Enoch Asare, popularly known as Feeling Daddy has announced July 2, 2022 and Takoradi as the funeral date and place for the late employee of the radio station, Naa Ayorkor Aryee.

At a vigil yesterday (Sunday June 5, 2022) in honour of Naa, Feeling Daddy mentioned that the family of Naa Ayorkor has agreed to host the funeral service in Takoradi.

Earlier, it was unclear where the funeral service would be held since Naa grew up in Sunyani, where she spent her childhood and young adult life before relocating to Takoradi some 10 years ago. www.233times.net is reliably informed that her mother and elder sister are still in Sunyani so it was rumoured that it is likely her funeral services will be held at the Bono Regional capital.

At the vigil which was held at the forecourt of Empire FM, Feeling Daddy announced that, with the permission of Naa’s elder sister, the family has agreed to hold the funeral services of their late mid-morning show host in Takoradi.

That was to help ease the confusion of where the funeral service will be held even though Feeling Daddy added that the venue in Takoradi and all other details about the funeral service will be shared subsequently.

Naa Ayorkor Aryee died on Monday May 30, 2022 when her neighbours heard her scream and upon breaking into her home, she was found unconscious on the kitchen floor. She was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital where her body has been deposited at the morgue.

The cause of death is not immediately known.

She died at 37.
