You’ve been a true son – Archbishop Duncan Williams to Bishop Ogyiri Asare

Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams has eulogized his spiritual son, Bishop Bernard Ogyiri Asare as a true son who has remained loyal to him and has proven to be someone who is not eager to compete or outshine his father; citing the biblical story of Reuben as an epitome.

On the last day of the week long International Prophetic Gathering which came off from July 31 to August 7, 2022 at the Zion Praise Chapel International in Takoradi, Archbishop Duncan Williams who was the guest Preacher said ““You never covet nor have the desire to compete with your father. You are not one of the sons who want to outshine your father. I am saying some very deep things. I’ve been preaching for 45 years so when I say these, I am saying a lot. You are not the one who is like Reuben, desire for what your father has or to outshine your father or betray him. You’ve not broken covenant with me; you’ve always been there for me”

For his loyalty to him, Archbishop Duncan Williams gifted Bishop Ogyiri Asare a sword, spiritually symbolising that he has given him authority.

According to Archbishop Duncan Williams, “I brought Bishop Asare a sword. The Bible talks about taking the shield of faith wherein you might be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one and then he talks about the sword of the spirit.”

“I believe that the sword of the spirit is not the written word, it is not the logos but the rhema. The specific word that sayeth the Lord, hearing what Heaven is saying and proclaiming what Heaven is saying in the realm of the physical and I am going to hand him over a sword that any day from today that he will lift up this sword to Heaven, let the wicked fall; let thrones and dominions, the principalities and powers; let opposition and resistance, domestic and external power, let every known and unknown adversary fall” Archbishop Duncan Williams prophesized before handing over a sword to Bishop Ogyiri Asare.

In addition, he anointed the Founder of Zion Praise Chapel and asked him to dream bigger since there is open Heaven on his behalf.

The 25th edition of the International Prophetic Gathering dubbed ‘Performance’ had Preachers like Apostle Joshua Selman, Bishop Abraham Chingbundu, Archbishop Ken McNatt and others anointing, healing and breaking limitations of patrons. In addition to the prayers and teachings was song ministration by Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Akese Brempong, amongst others.

The annual event is hosted by Bishop Bernard Ogyiri Asare, Founder and leader of Zion Praise Chapel International in Takoradi.
