Full list of winners of 610Music Western Music Awards – Aya RamzyB is Artiste of the year

At a colourful event at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi on Saturday 20th August, 2022, a total of 30 Western Region Artistes and Creative Arts Players were awarded for their work in 2021.

Headlined by 610Music, the Western Music Awards also introduced categories to award people in the Sports sector. “In collaboration with the Western Region branch of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, we have introduced categories to award sports men and women from the region and also a club that has made impact. This has become necessary as a result of constant appeal from the sprots sector to be included in this award. We will award Best Sports Man of the year, Sportswoman of the year and a Football club that has made impact” the Public Relations Officer for the awards, Nana Kwesi Coomson revealed in a speech at the awards.

The 610Music Western Music Awards which is organized annually to honor Artistes and other creative arts participants having ties to the Western Region also honoured Mrs. Amy Newman and Shasha Marley with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

The event witnessed performances by Mrs. Amy Newman, Aka Blay, Shasha Marley, Keche, Qwesi Flex, Afezi Perry, Naana Blu, Kweysi Swat, KDM, Neff Gee, Bobo Dada Bee and many more.

The Western Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency, Kobby Okyere Darko Mensah, CEO of 610Music, Kof Sonny, Lawyer Fiifi Buckman, Nana Egya Kwamina, Chief of Apremdo, Chief Abdallah Adam, Kwesimintsim Zongo Chief, Mr. Justice Acquah, Dr. Dominic Eduah, GNPC Foundation Executive Director, Hon. Alex Blankson, Member of Parliament for Akrofuom Constituency, Sammy Baah of Sammy Flexx TV, amongst others graced the occasion.

Aya RamzyB won the overall Artiste of the year, with Gospel Artiste, Ruth Ackaah-Gyasi winning the New Artiste of the year, which in addition came with a music video from Sammy Flexx Music Production Studio.
