Akon has revealed that he and Michael Jackson were discussing plans to open a number of music-focused schools across Africa.
According to Akon, the plans were far advanced but was tragically derailed with the death of the King of Pop.
Akon mentioned that he and MJ came up with the idea back in the day. It would have been a series of music universities in Akon’s home continent, Africa.
Akon says he and Michael wanted to supply students with instruments, infrastructure and industry advice to hone their skills because as he and Michael Jackson discussed, there was and still is a lot of undiscovered talents in Africa.
Sadly, Michael Jackson died in 2009 before he and Akon could break ground on any schools but Akon says it’s something he still wants to make happen in the future.
Putting this out, Akon mentioned that, Michael Jackson has had great impact in music so people should not question his legacy.
