1 dead in motor accident at Apimanim

One (1) dead after a driver with a Toyota vehicle with registration GE 3040 – 12 collided with a trailer with registration AJ 27 10 Benin.

The accident happened at Apimanim in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region at about 10:20 pm Saturday, February 11, 2023.

According to the driver of the trailer, the Toyota vehicle which was travelling at top speed run into his vehicle.

A bystander giving an account of the accident said he heard the cry of someone calling for help after the crash.

With the help of some members of the Western Region Branch of the Ghana Journalists Association GJA, who were returning from Jomoro on an official assignment, and some police officers, the mangled Toyota vehicle was overturned.

The body of the driver has been deposited at the mortuary for preservation.
