EC voter exhibition ends today

The five-day voter exhibition exercise by the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) ahead of the district level and unit committee elections is scheduled to end today, Tuesday, November 7.

The exercise began on Friday, November 3 at all 38,622 polling stations across the country.

It has been ongoing over the past four days between 7:00am and 6:00pm each day.

The voter exhibition exercise is to afford prospective voters the opportunity to cross-check their details as captured in the register, particularly for those who were captured during the limited registration between Tuesday, September 12 and Monday, October 2.

There have been incessant cases of low turnout at most exhibition centers.

But the Chair of the Commission, Jean Mensa, has told some journalists that most prospective voters are making use of digitization to verify their details.

She said the EC made available a short code – *713*81# – for online verification at a fee of GHp50.

The district level and unit committee elections will be held on Tuesday, December 19. 2023.
