At the fifth edition of the Fontomfrom Amandze Awards on Saturday 11th November, 2023 at the Raybow Hotel in Takoradi, Nana Kwesi Coomson, a Corporate Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility Executive was adjudged the ‘Most Influential Young Person of the year’ in the Western Region.
Recognised for his annual pep-talk with Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) Candidates across the Western Region since the last six years, his annual party with members of Ghana Blind Union, women and youth empowerment seminars and regular support to orphanages, Mr. Coomson’s impact according to the organisers has impacted over 80,000 lives.
In an acceptance statement, he said “I am able to do this as a result of collaborations. I believe in the power of partnerships because we become stronger when we come together.
Everywhere I am, I represent three groups of people; my family, my faith and Western Region.”
“And if really, the best comes from the West, then we must represent that in everywhere that we are. We should let the world know where the best comes from. This is to a support family and everyone who has supported in various ways” Mr Coomson remarked.
Calling on those present, he added that, “We are painting the Egyam Orphanage this December. We humbly ask that anyone who can be present for us to paint it faster is welcome. And we will again have our new year party for the members of Ghana Blind Union.”
The award scheme celebrates organisations and individuals making impact in their respective fields. This year’s edition brought together Chiefs, heads of Corporate Institutions and individuals.
