Liverpool and Newcastle in contention to convince Dede Ayew to join them in January

335274_heroaEnglish sides Liverpool and Newcastle are in contention to convince Ghana international Andre Ayew of Olympique Marseille to join them come the January transfer window.

According to the Sunday Mirror, both clubs are weighing up a transfer fee in the region of £12 million for the talented winger but the French Ligue 1 outfit are eyeing a fee far more than that for their priceless asset.

Ayew has a contract with the Stade Velodrome outfit which ends in the summer of 2015 and has never hidden his intentions to play in the English Premier League, especially with the Anfield side.

Sources close to the player have hinted that the current poor results of OM, especially in the Champions League, could encourage the talismanic Ayew to change clubs.
