The Black Stars held their final training session on Monday in preparation for Tuesday’s international friendly against South Korea at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
A total of nineteen players participated in the session under the guidance of head coach Otto Addo and his technical staff, as the team looks to respond positively after last Friday’s 2–0 defeat to Japan.
Ghana’s squad has been significantly affected by injuries, with Francis Abu, Antoine Semenyo, and Mohammed Salisu all sidelined. Key figures such as Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey, and captain Jordan Ayew also did not make the trip, leaving Addo to work with the players available in Seoul.
Despite the depleted squad, the Black Stars remain determined to put on a solid performance against the Koreans. The two matches on the Asian tour form part of Ghana’s broader preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, Canada, and the United States, providing valuable opportunities to build chemistry and refine tactics ahead of next year’s tournament.
With several regulars unavailable, Addo is looking to the remaining squad members to elevate their game, respond strongly after the loss to Japan, and build momentum as the World Cup qualifiers approach.
