“I don’t know anything about this tape; I suspect Ayitey Basty” Victoria Hammah’s driver cries

Driver of the sacked Deputy Communication’s Minister, Lawrence Quayson, has disassociated himself from the controversial leaked tape which terminated his Cousin’s appointment.
Earlier, media reports indicated that the driver admitted guilt of the leaked tape which has gained prominence in local and international media circles.
However, guiltless Lawrence Quayson told Citi News he had no knowledge of the said leaked tape.
According to him, there was an attempt to coerce him to link some innocent people to the saga that has surrounded the leaked tape but he decided to remain resolute.
He bemoaned, “I don’t know anything about this tape. They were forcing me and threatening me to say what I don’t know about. They were forcing me to make allegations about somebody who doesn’t know anything about it.”
Mr. Quayson maintained he could not afford to be used as a conduit to blackmail her cousin who he described as his hope of survival.
“I never did anything. She is my sister with whom I work with and we are staying in the same house. She gives me money so how can I betray my sister and let her lose her job. What will I gain from it?”
Mr. Quayson accused Vitoria Hammah’s former Personal Assistant, Ayitey Basty of being responsible for the scandal.
“I suspect Ayitey Basty because he called Victoria Hammah, my sister and threatened to destroy her and my sister knew about that. He (Basty) said he will destroy her so why are they accusing me of the leaked tape?”
According to him, Ayitey Basty did that to settle personal scores with Victoria Hamah after being sacked as Deputy Communication Minister’s Personal Assistant.
“He was my sister’s PA and he quit the work. So out of pain and anger, he was trying to destroy my sister. Before that I never liked Ayitey since my sister employed him as her personal assistant.”
All efforts to get Ayitey Basty’s side of the issue proved futile.
