South African President Jacob Zuma to lay wreath on Late Prez. John Atta Mills’ tomb

downloadSouth African President, Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma is expected to lay a wreath at the tomb of the late President John Atta Mills’ on Tuesday. 

Mr. Zuma who is on a three-day state visit to Ghana earlier on Tuesday visited the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum. 

The visit is a reciprocal one to the 2011 State visit the late President John Mills embarked on and it is expected to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.

President Zuma who arrived in Accra on Monday night will on Tuesday meet with President John Mahama at the Flagstaff House. 

The two, will host a business forum later in the day, with both countries determined to increase the business and investment dealings in each other’s country.

The two Presidents last met in May, 2013 when President Mahama opened the current Session of the Pan-African Parliament in Midrand, South Africa. 

The meeting at the Zuma residence was used to renew the commitment of the two leaders to strengthening the bond of friendship and cooperation between Ghana and South Africa. 

President Mahama attended the centenary celebration of the Africa National Congress in January 2012.

He is also expected to host a state dinner in honour of his guest and a joint press conference to be addressed by both leaders.

President Zuma is accompanied by his wife, who will meet with First Lady, Lordina Dramani Mahama.

The two First Ladies are expected to visit the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
