Coach Duncan rejects $4,000 monthly salary from Ebusua Dwarfs

downloadSince making known their intention to have recently sacked Hearts of Oak gaffer David Duncan take over the coaching role at the club, Ebusua Dwarfs have moved in to close a deal with the 50-year old in earnest.

Dwarfs who are upset with current coach Prof. Mintah’s attitude in recent weeks with the recent being his ‘abandoning’ of duties with a sick leave ‘excuse’ have through the club’s bankroller Nana Aidoo met Duncan and have tried to lure him with a mouth-watering offer.

Duncan has been offered a $25,000 (GHc50,000) signing-on fee and a monthly salary of $4,000 (GHc8,000) if he accepts the Dwarfs job, footy-ghana.com sources disclose.

The former Ashanti Gold trainer, according to footy-ghana.com sources, has asked that the salary offer be increased as the club would be competing in three competitions – the league, FA Cup and the CAF Confederations Cup when he takes over.

Footy-ghana.com also gathers that an unnamed South African club has made an enquiry about his availability and Duncan could be enticed by the opportunity of coaching outside Ghana for the second time.
