Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo believes the arrival of Gareth Bale will help the club in their pursuit of trophies.
The Welshman completed a long-awaited €100 million move to the Santiago Bernabeu in September and has made a solid start to life in Spain, scoring nine times in his first 13 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Ronaldo is delighted with the impact his new team-mate has made in the Spanish capital after an injury-interrupted start to life in La Liga.
“What Gareth does is admirable,” the 28-year-old Portugal international told beIN Sport.
“He had a few difficulties at the beginning, some small injuries, which is normal because he didn’t have a pre-season, and there were all these swirls around his transfer.
“But now it’s going better. He has fit into the team well. The fans and the players both love him. He’s a fantastic player who will help us win trophies.”
Real Madrid complete their Champions League group campaign with a trip to Copenhagen on Tuesday.
