Ken Agyapong accuses Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey of embezzling GH100,000 he personally gave to NPP

503050092_643892Outspoken New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong has openly accused the National Chairman of the party, Jake Otanka Obetsebi-Lamptey and his Special Assistant of allegedly embezzling a whooping amount of GHC 100, 000 belonging to the party.

The NPP MP made the shocking disclosure on NEAT FM on Friday in reaction to a post Bryan Acheampong, a Special Aide to the NPP Chair shared on his Facebook Wall.

The post suggested that the Assin North MP has become a “tin god” in the NPP. It further recounted how “Ken destroyed our gains in the Volta region and decreased our votes in the Ga communities which in turn cost us the 2012 elections”.

“Its high time Ken Agyapong understands that he has built a constituency in the party for himself with his hawkish style of politics and must choose between being an asset or a liability for our dear party because you can’t give out hundreds with your right hand and take back thousands with your left,” the post read.

But in a sharp rebuttal, Ken Agyapong called on Bryan Acheampong, together with his boss to account for the GHC 100,000 cheque he personally handed over to them before attempting to fire salvos.

“…he is a stupid boy. He is a thief…If Bryan Acheampong is the one who put that thing there, then ask him where the GHC100,000 contribution that was supposed to pay for the filling fees of the MPs go? He and his master received the money…I’ll give him a show down”.

“…Bryan Acheampong is a first class thief. He squandered that money with Jake,” the NPP Law Maker fumed.
