PHOTOS: Fire guts KNUST’s Crystal Rose Hostel

Information reaching www.233times.net has it that, the plush Crystal Rose Hostel in Kentinkrono, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is up in flames. The Informer who is a resident of the hostel said the inferno started around 5 pm.

Information gathered reveals that, there were some students in the facility at the time the fire started but no casualties recorded. The cause of the fire of the 4 storey private facility is blamed on illegal electricity connection.

If not for the intervention of the Fire Service Personnel, all the building would have been razed down. Sources say only two floors were affected by the fire.

The University reopens tomorrow, January 10 and the question that most students who are occupants of the hostel are asking on Social Media are “where are we going to be housed?” , “how fast are they going to renovate the place for us?” etc.

More soon…..
