Christiano Ronaldo adjudged 2013 FIFA Ballon d’Or winner

An earlier unconfirmed report (read here) reaching 233times predicted Portuguese and Real Madrid winger Christiano Ronaldo as the best footballer for 2013.
At an event held at Kongresshaus in Zurich, Christiano Ronaldo came out tops with 27.99% of the vote, Argentine and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi followed second with 24.72% of the vote and France and Bayern Munich forward Franck Ribery came third with 23.36% of the vote.
This however is the second Ballon D’or for C Ronaldo in his football career, the first of which he last won in 2008.
This is what he had to say after being presented with the award “I have to say a great thanks to all my teammates, I’m very happy”.
