Who says I was once poor; I drove Mercedes Benz S-Class in 1992 – Ken Agyapong

315587938_314080If your bank account isn’t fat, you dare not dream of driving a car like Mercedes Benz built for men with class. This is the type of swag, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong claims to have possessed since 1992.

According to him, as late as 1992, he drove an S-class to run his campaign.

The outspoken NPP MP’s revelation was borne out of claims by an aide to Mr. Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, National Chairman of the NPP that he (Ken) once lived like a “church mouse”.

Bryan Acheampong, in an earlier interview with Okay FMdisclosed that until the NPP came to power, poverty was staring directly in the face of Ken Agyapong. But it all turned around when ex-president Kufour chose to award the Assin Central MP with juicy contracts such as the Bui Dam and electrification projects, Mr. Acheampong claimed.

But a clearly riled Agyapong offered to personally shed light into his past life.

According to him, Mr. Acheampong’s story was totally untrue and should not be given any credit. He stated that he made his wealth before going into politics and even before he launched his campaigns, he rode in an S- Class. He mentioned the likes of Dr. Konadu Apraku and Kwamena Bartels as witnesses who could give a proper account of his past life.

He ended by threatening to teach “that boy (Bryan Acheampong)” a bitter lesson in life for claiming he (Ken) was once as poor as a church mouse.
