Revealed: How Reality Show Organisers are deceiving Ghanaians; Winners receive Indomie and …

The plethora of Reality Shows in Ghana particularly the Music oriented ones are throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians. An investigation by www.233times.net reveals that most of the Winners do not receive the publicized prizes but are given indomie, a popular noddle as compensation.

It will surprise most Readers to know that the winner of the maiden ‘Born Stars,’ Nero X was given 10 boxes of Indomie for emerging the winner of the show without the United Kingdom (UK) trip publicized. In our investigation, Nero X was sent to the British Embassy in Accra to be interviewed for the visa for the trip. He was presented as a Trader by Viasat 1 to the Embassy without any clue to Nero X. During the interview when he was asked his profession/occupation, the ‘blank’ Nero X mentioned “Musician” which contradicted what Viasat 1 had presented to them. Nero X’s trip became dangling until the Organizers told him that they will bring J. Appiah, an Artiste he was to collaborate with in UK to Ghana instead. As to what the boxes of indomie was used for, www.233times.net was tipped Nero X used them for ‘salaka’ (arm giving).

Again, Lamisi Sam Awinongya, the 2009 Queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful has been through the worst migraine in her life after the crown was transferred to her following the winner’s (Nasara) delinquency. Lamisi has publicly detailed in the various Ghanaian media (electronic and print) that TV3 has not given her any of the promised packages. After 5 years since winning the Ghana’s Most Beautiful crown, Lamisi is still chasing TV 3 for her packages and from deep throats, the Security guards have been tipped not to allow her enter the network’s premises.

Latest to join the predatory skills of Reality Show organizers is Tutulapato. The kid star was promised a trip to UK and GHc4,000. www.233times.net can authoritatively report that, Tutulapato did not receive any of them. Tutulapato who won the ‘Talented Kids’ is now in his Breman Asikuma village wailing in discomfort and despondency. According to TV 3, the GHc4, 000 which was suppose to be given to Tutulapato would be handed to him when he is 18 years, a decade from now. Such a dubious way to lure a poor villager who was certain his life would have a volte-face via the competition and worked tirelessly for that. Aren’t his (Tutulapato) parents alive to receive it on his behalf or even be deposited into a treasury bill or shares until he is 18 years? Tv 3 come again!

www.233times.net is bemoaning this grimy and heinous way Reality Show Organizers especially the TV Stations are using to gain eye balls and putting winners and participants in malaise. This medium promises to expose all those dubious acts.

Paedae (R2Bees) once said “Fame is a shame if you can’t afford a living” so if these networks cannot help the winners and will continue to deceive and make their lives unbearable, God is watching them in 5D!
