NPP Organiser killed

killedTHE NEW Patriotic Party (NPP) has been hit by tragedy.

This followed the sudden death of the party’s youth organizer for Asante Akyem South in the Ashanti Region.

The deceased, who was only identified as Perkins, died on Friday morning through a deadly car crash.

A taxi in which Perkins was travelling collided head on with a faulty truck parked on the road.

The incident was said to have occurred at a spot between Juaso and Konongo on the main Kumasi/Accra road.

The driver of the taxi, which was heading toward the Konongo direction, reportedly rammed the car into the truck.

Unconfirmed reports indicated that all five people on board the taxi including the NPP youth organizer, died instantly.

Perkins was said to be travelling to Kumasi on Friday to take part in the NPP Youth maiden meeting.

His sudden death hit his fellow NPP youth organizers hard, as the sad news affected the event.

The Ashanti Regional Youth Organizer, Justin Kodua, led the other youth organizers to observe a minute’s silence in memory of Perkins.

Almost all the NPP youth organizers that attended the meeting, led by Kodua, dashed to Juaso to console the family of the deceased party activist.
