Possigee Speaks, “Dancehall is The New Musical Trend In Ghana” with Mugeez and Samini’s ‘Love Like This’ As Epitome

Mohammed Awal Alhassan aka Possigee

Mugeez of R2Bees has no competitor in the world, his definition is versatility; Samini, Africa’s Dancehall  King has given true meaning to good music whilst Possigee, Ghana’s spectacular Sound Engineer extraordinaire, is recognized across the world for his prolific production of rhythms with world appeal. When this trio combines abilities to put their charms on a single song, the result is DYNAMITE.

Last week, this reporter spotted Mugeez and Samini inside the MOB studio inside Tema recording a song which reveals the typical type of Mugeez-Samini love. Being engineered by Possigee, the song is a typical Dancehall genre.

In an interview with this reporter, Possigee stated that, the song is already a hit before they recorded it and he can’t wait for the fans to listen to good music. In his usual soft tone speaking, Possigee answered that, “Of course it will be the new trend of which all other Artists will queue” when this reporter asked if Dancehall has the staying power in Ghana.

Other tops Acts in the country have released Dancehall songs this year. Is it the new trend that is taking over the Ghanaian Musical Industry? Possigee, the Sound ‘Gynecologist’ prophesied that, Dancehall will be the new musical trend in Ghana with Mugeez and Samimi’s ‘Love like this’ as an epitome. The song will be released later in the week to the public.

Is Possigee driving away the Funky (Azonto) genre which is becoming stubborn to leave? The answer resides in the CEO of MOB Records, Possigee’s prophecy. Indeed this great trio (Mugeez, Samini and Possigee) have got the musical strength to gag Funky (Azonto) from Ghana and substitute it with Dancehall.
