Cal Bank Policeman angrily shoots 2 customers

CAL Bank Ghana LogoA policeman on duty at the Derby Avenue branch of Cal bank in Accra has reportedly shot and injured two persons out of anger.

The policeman who was on duty on Saturday afternoon opened fire on customers in the banking hall and injured some persons.

Narrating the incident to Citi News, one of the victims, Nathaniel said the policeman approached him in a shop close to the bank and asked him to move his car from the bank’s parking space because he was not a customer of the bank.

‘’… I went into the bank and I asked who said I came into the bank and I didn’t make any payment or do anything, that fellow should come out and show me what this receipt is for. Then I saw one of the security men signalling the policeman for him to know that I am a customer and I have come to make payment so he should let it go, ” he said.

According to Nathaniel, the policeman tried to force him out of the banking hall and he resisted. He also said the policeman slapped him and he returned the slap.

“Before I could say jack the guy had landed me a ‘filthy’ slap and let me be honest, I slapped him also; then he pulled out his gun and started firing his gun in the banking hall. I wasn’t the only person he was firing at, he was actually trying to fire at my leg, but fortunately for me he couldn’t get my leg. So it was a pullet that strayed, the shell got into my leg,’’ he narrated.
