‘Man up’ Mr President; show some balls – NDC Communication Team Member

download (2)A member of the governing Party’s Communications team, Mr Stephen Atubiga, says President John Mahama must “man up”.

According to him, the President must show he is in charge of the country by firing the incompetent Ministers and appointees around him.

“The President says he needs all hands on board. His hands are tied [by] certain stakeholders, but the President has to man up. He has to man up and be a man and take control; sacrifice anybody. Fire certain people that you think are not delivering,” Mr Atubiga told Radio XYZ’s news analysis programme ‘The Analyst’ on Saturday March 15, 2014.

According to him, the President must go beyond his recent reshuffling of regional ministers.

“It’s not enough. He has to reshuffle [and bring] people he thinks can deliver.”

Mr Atubiga says there are incompetent appointees around the President who must be shown the exit as quickly as possible, adding that until President Mahama gets rid of the inefficient hands, he will not get the help he needs from competent people.
