AC Millan confirms: Sulley Muntari injured

imagesAC Milan have officially confirmed the injury sustained by Black Stars player Sulley Muntari. The Ghanaian was replaced by international team-mate Michael Essien at the weekend when Milan won by three goals to nil against Chievo Verona.

Muntari who was seen clutching his ankle has rather been reported to have sustained a right calf injury.
A statement on AC Milan’s official website read on Wednesday:

“A.C. Milan wishes to communicate that Sulley Muntari has suffered a problem with his right calf and will undergo further tests in the coming days.”

Ghanaian football fans will hope the results of the coming tests will yield positive results as the 2014 World Cup tournament is drawing near. Ghana will play the United States of America, Germany and Portugal in the Group stages of the tournament.
