The news of the 17 year old Ghanaian boy who has been accepted into all eight Ivy League schools got the world talking earlier this week.
Kwasi Enin’s milestone, according to college counselors, is extremely rare because few students even apply to all eight Ivy League schools, because each seeks different qualities in their freshman class.
Almost none are invited to attend them all because the Ivy League colleges are among the America’s most elite.
The feat has caught the attention of Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, the award winning artist/actress wife of Jay-Z.
According to Beyoncé, who posted on her official Facebook page to her close to 60 million followers, Kwasi is an inspiration.
She has advised Kwasi to “continue to strive for excellence”.
Her post read: “Continue to strive for excellence, Kwasi. You are an inspiration to us all!”
Kwasi is a first-generation American from Shirley, N.Y. He was born to Ghanaian immigrants. He is a violist and aspiring physician. He has revealed his intention to accept the offer of Yale.
