Full list of Winners: Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2014; Charter-Wale saga

10314662_736933919691920_7193685544629127554_nFor the first, many Ghanaians have agreed with the winners chosen by the Nigerian owned medium which organizes Awards for Ghanaian Artistes, Charter House. Almost all tweets and Facebook statuses are hailing the organizers for a fair distribution this year, even though some have their arguments.

The Vodafone Music Awards which was held at the Accra International Conference Center on May 3 had the following Artistes winning the categories;

Gospel Song of the Year – OJ – Maye se mo pen

Highlife Song of the Year – Odo Pa: Castro ft Baby Jet and Kofi Kinaata 

Reggae/Dancehall Songs of the Year – Dancehall King : Shatta Wale

Afropop Song of the Year: Million Pound Girl: Fuse ODG

Hip hop song of the year: Lies – Sarkodie ft Lil Shaker

Hiplife Song of the Year: Boys Abr3 – Guru

Gospel Artiste of the Year: Sonnie Badu

Highlife Artiste of the year – Kwabena Kwabena

Hiphop/Hiplife Artiste of the year: Sarkodie

African Artiste of the Year: Davido

Best Collaboration of the Year: Adult Music-Kwabena Kwabena ft Samini

Best Female Vocal performance: Efya – Life

Best Video: Baby take good care – Nii Lantey

Best Male Vocal performance: Sonnie Badu – Wonder God

Best Rapper of the Year: Sarkodie – Rap Attack 

Best Group of the Year: R2Bees

New Artiste of the year: Joey B

Popular Song of the year: Dancehall King – Shatta Wale

Album of the Year: Sarkology – Sarkodie 

ARTISTE OF THE YEAR: SHATTA WALE
