If Sueba had this support: Movie stars march in Accra in support of abducted Nigerian girls

Fantastic, Ghanaian Celebrities are heavily involved in the #BringBackOurGirls Campaign, a crusade even the 1^st lady of USA, Michelle Obama has delivered speech on. Many known International Celebrities are as well involved, signifying their support for the abducted Nigerian Girls.

Yesterday on Facebook, I saw a post by one of the Up and Coming Actors which read “tomorrow, the Actresses and Actors in Ghana would march in support of the #BringBackOurGirls campaign, you are invited, join us let us help these girls.” Oh sorry, if you have no idea what the #BringBackOurGilrs campaign is, it is a campaign in support of the over 230 abducted girls in Nigeria by Boko Haram (meaning Western Education is forbidden).

These Talents are very good crusaders (from this initiative) and from what they are doing, I have applauded them but my concern is that, it would be recalled that, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 3:00am, Sueba (Suwaiba) Abdul Mumin delivered a baby boy at the labour ward of KATH. After successful delivery, the midwives placed the baby on her chest and told her that she had a baby boy and that he weighed 4.02kg. The baby was then taken to a place she could not readily confirm whilst some post delivery procedures were being operated on her.

Some minutes later, one of the midwives returned to inform her that her son had passed away which she accepted as her fate and surrendered all to ALLAH (GOD, Almighty). She then requested to be shown the body of her dead baby so she could mourn him. Whilst waiting for her baby’s body, the sad mother was shocked to the marrow to hear from the midwives that they could not find the body. In utter dismay, and with many questions than answers, the midwives further callously and trivially suggested the baby which had been placed in a box in the hallway may have been taken away by the orderly and burnt together with the garbage.

This news did not receive even a tweet from these same ‘Good Samaritans (oh Good Ghanaians)’ who claim to have twice the heart of Mother Theresa. Sueba lives 6 hours (by VIP Bus) from Accra but no single crusade was staged to help the poor mother receive the baby back (if the baby is alive like she claims).

Undeniably, every Celebrity who campaign for the abducted girls are given media attention and publicity so if and only if this is their reason, but note that charity always begins at home.

I support the march through the principal streets of Accra by these Movie Stars and would even join in it the next time it is being embarked on but my message is; the next time an ordeal like Sueba and other pressing ones happen in Ghana, these stars should do a similar demonstration and excessive care like they are doing for the abducted girls.

This is an UGLY TRUTH! and please note that this is my opinion.
