Church begins 24-hour prayer session for Castro and Janet; Castro is alive Pastor says

Castro-De-Destroyer-and-Janet-Sugar-DailyThe New International Church, Ghana, yesterday began a twenty-four hour prayer session for the popular hip life artiste, Castro, privately known as Theophilus Tagoe, and his companion, Janet Bandu, who are believed to have drowned last Sunday.

The prayer session was meant for the church to intercede for the lives and souls of the two persons.

The service began with praises and worship ministration to express appreciation to the Lord for his love and protection for the families of Castro and Bandu.

Castro is alive

In his sermon, the associate Pastor of the Church, Pastor Raymond Akoetey, said Castro was alive, and that the only way to rescue him was through prayers.

According to him, Castro’s inability to return from the sea for a week indicated that he was alive, adding that the church was going to pray for 24 hours to ensure that the musician returned alive.

Citing examples from the bible about churches interceding for Apostle Peter when in prison, he said remembering the lost musician and Janet Bandu in prayers would help bring them back alive.

“We will not predict whether they will appear within the twenty-four hours or three days, but we will pray, believing God that they come back alive,” he said, adding that the church would continue to pray and wait upon the Lord for a positive result.

Refrain from mallams and spiritualists

Pastor Akoetey urged the families of both individuals to refrain from consulting mallams and spiritualists in the bid to rescue Castro, adding that the only one to rescue him was God.

He, therefore, encouraged Christians, Apostles and Archbishops in the country to come out in their numbers to pray for the return of the lost musician and his companion.
