Kwesi Appiah to quit Black Stars on the condition that … – Kwabena Yeboah

08f3a02d1ba7b40d440cfab6e124cae5_LGhana Black Stars coach James Kwesi Appiah could quit the senior national team if a foreign aid is brought in to supervise his work, Ghanaian sports journalist Kwabena Yeboah has revealed.

The Black Stars boss has had his contract extended recently but the deal is set to go under review with some decisions to be made. Among such decisions according to Kwabena Yeboah is to appoint a foreign technical director which coach Appiah will highly oppose to.

This could lead to the Ghana senior national team manager terminating his contract with the Ghana Football Association.

Kwabena Yeboah explained the situation:

“The coach was preparing to come down to start his new contract but the reports of his contract review has also been welcomed and he has decided to have a sit down with the Executive committee and some of the people who are opposed to the deal.

“You know the review is expected to bring up several decisions and suggestions and I can state that chiefly amongst them is to ask the coach, not just ask but impel him to appoint a technical help perhaps an expatriate to assist him in the remaining years of his contract.

“And when it comes to that I can categorically tell you that the coach would decide to step down, he will quit the job and move on if somebody is forcibly appointed to superintend over his work.”
