Former Arsenal youth-teamer Emmanuel Adewole is locked in talks with ElRaja Marsa Matr over the termination of his contract.
The Anglo-Nigerian had penned a two-year deal with the Egyptian club in the first week of August, despite being on the radar of teams in Turkey, Russia and Portugal.
Since appending his signature to that contract, Adewole has not received a single dollar from El Raja Marsa Matr, neither sign on bonus nor wages.
He explained to SL10.ng: “My Egyptian club has been nothing short of unprofessional. It’s like living in a nightmare from day one and I told the club I want out. I will never recommend another player to come and play in Egypt either.
“All my teammates are leaving and cancelling their contracts because of the lack of trust they have in the club and the hospitality of the players is the poorest I’ve witnessed in my life.
“I am in discussion for a loan move but the club are proving stubborn. They stalled on Braga’s approach and now that a Cyprus club have come calling. I’m considering terminating my contract to enforce the transfer.”
Ambitious Cypriot second-tier side Nikos & Socratis Erimis are understood to monitoring the transfer situation of Emmanuel Adewole.
The 24-year-old was promised $80,000 in wages every year by El Raja Marsa Matr.
