Try surfing Youtube and type, ‘Kaakie’, if you find a music video to the songs of the pioneer female Dancehall Songster, Kaakie, please give me the link to watch it. Yes, I couldn’t find a single video to her amazing songs.
From the results of the name Kaakie I typed, I either found her performances at the Dome (Conference Center) or her heavy arms romantically wrapped around Samini’s neck. Oh! And in the results, I found a slide show of her song ‘Toffee Pon Tongue’. For her audios, they are inundated.
Kaakie’s songs stand out among every song in Ghana and her unique style makes her the brightest among all the female songsters. I can tell “it’s Kaakie” when I hear a faint ringtone in a bus. Is there a video to compliment these amazing songs and unique style?
Music videos either promote a song or kills it, is what most astute ‘Showbizers’ say. I could not understand it until after careful examination of that statement. I am now one of those who sing that mantra.
As a fan of good music, I would always promote amazing works from Artists and I am promising to first put Kaakie’s Music Video whenever she releases it.
Kaakie, Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians have enjoyed your songs in the clubs, in the cars, in their homes and as their caller ringtone since your inception. This year, complimenting them with music videos will enrich your Curriculum Vitae (CV). Fans are therefore looking forward to a Kaakie music video to some of your songs this year. Keep up the amazing works.
This is an ‘UGLY TRUTH’
