“Nana come and save us from this hell” Takoradi market women to Nana Addo

Nana-AddoThroughout the day, Takoradi has been painted with New Patriotic Party (NPP) colours as a party hopeful; Nana Addo Dunkwa Akufo-Akuffo finally ended his Western Regional campaign towards Saturday’s primaries.  Nana Akufo-Addo addressed party supporters at the Effiakuma Police Park today.

The Takoradi Market Circle came to a standstill when the 4 cross country vehicle convoy passed through the busiest center in the Western Region (Market Circle). Market activities seized as all the sellers left their shops and stalls to catch a glimpse of the presidential hopeful. Market women were heard crying out loud, “Nana come and save us from this hell,” “Nana y3ni da woso” (Our hopes are on you Nana), “Nana b3gye wo bubai” (Nana come for your stone),”Ghana mampanyin no na w’aba no oo” (the president of Ghana is in) among others.

The popular Daddy Lumba composed ‘Nana is a winner’ political song was chorusing in the market when Nana Addo finally reached the You 84 environ in his cross country vehicle. If not for the intervention of his guards, the market women would have found all means to enter the all black cross country vehicle Nana Akufo-Addo was being conveyed in.

With Nana Addo was Kobby Okyere Darko, the Member of Parliament for Takoradi Constituency and other party members.
