“I tell you, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God” , just imagine these words from Becca who is on the pulpit preaching to a Congregation. After she has ended her Godly preaching, Funny Face takes over the pulpit and ushers the congregation into a born-again plea recitals. This is a quintessential scenario of what will happen on 27th January, 2013 at ICGC, Calvary Temple, Spintex.
Last year, the Actors, Presenters, Professionals and Musicians for Christ (APPMC), an Organisation made up of Ghanaian stars, amazed the youth populated congregation when they revealed their ‘Heavenly’ side to them. For a moment, most people were hypnotized and wondered if they were not watching ‘Agony of Christ’ staged at the Trinity Baptist Church.
With more known faces added this year, the Ghanaian Celebrities will in turn take up the pulpit and preach God to the congregation. Themed “Come see A Man”, this year’s event will be at the Calvary Temple, the Spintex Branch of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) at 3:00pmand its FREE!
Strictly about God and how far they have come using their past experiences as advisory gauge, Jeremie, Becca, Maa Afia, Majid Michel, Funny Face, Eddie Nartey, Prince David Osei, Caroline Sampson, Kiki Banson, Ken Fiati, Joe Mettle, Michelle Hammond, Nii, Cwesi Oteng and Timothy Bentum will hold a friendly lecture about God with the congregation.
With the flyer of the event circulating on the internet, many people wonder how well these stars whom they are known on TV and radio for best delivery of bad boy and girl roles can speak about God. This same thought evoked most people to attend last year’s event and their jaws were dropped to touch the bone of their necks upon hearing their icons lead worship, speak in tongues and teaching about God.
“Jeremie, pastor’s daughter?”, “Majid Michel speaking in tongues?”, “Prince David Osei broke his virginity last 3 years?” and many more revelations left the congregation in shock at last year’s event.
Speaking to the Architect of the event Timothy Bentum, he mentioned that, this year’s event has been improved and highly packaged with reflections on what last year’s lacked. He further called on all and sundry to show up to see how God is using the stars to touch lives.
