Excessive milk intake is making me fair – Ama Boahemaa explains bleaching rumour

10636123_10204237170361406_1489050281376343444_nGospel musician, Ama Boahemaa has been forced to respond to rumours about her skin colour.

This was after her supposedly ‘before and after’ picture hit social media which showed a sharp contrast in her skin colour.

In her latest photos which have gone viral on social media, she appears with a ghostly white face. Some media websites and blogs have posted earlier photos of the gospel singer to prove she is bleaching.

The ‘Bue Kwan Ma Me’ and ‘Awurade Wo Ba Eko’ hitmaker has been lambasted for succumbing to the pleasures of the world and changing her dark skin colour to ‘white’.

But in an exclusive interview with Germany-based journalist, Francis Frimpong-Manson aka Nkosuohene, Ama Boahemaa blamed the change of her skin colour to excessive intake of milk and the weather in Europe.

Conceding that her skin complexion has lightened over the years, she stated emphatically that it has nothing to do with bleaching.

“I’m not bleaching; my present skin tone is because I drink a lot of milk. I even recommended the cream I use to a friend and she suddenly became dark” she added.

She insisted she will not change her God given colour for anything in the world.

Ama Boahemaa urged her fans not to be disappointed because she might revert to her normal colour when she returns to Ghana.
