Nana Addo will investigate Atta Mills’ death – NPP MP

Ghana-President-John-Atta-Mills-has-died

An Akufo-Addo presidency will investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of former President John Evans Atta Mills, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) legislator has disclosed.Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover, MP for Tema East, insists there is possibly more than meets the eye about the sudden demise of Prof Mills two years ago, and there is an urgent need to investigate the death and put any suspicions to bed.

Questions continue to be asked about the circumstances surrounding the death of the late Prof, who passed away on July 24, 2012, especially the exact time he died and the cause of his death. There are also questions about whether an autopsy was conducted after his demise, and what the outcome was.

Titus-Glover argues that the NDC administration, which Prof Mills led, and the family of the late President have declined to provide answers, especially about the cause of death, but an Akufo-Addo government will provide the answers.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show of Monday December 8, 2014, the Tema East MP pledged:

“Ghanaians still believe there is something suspicious about his (Prof Mills) death. Read my lips. Any future Akufo-Addo government will go into it and find out what caused it. We must find out what happened.

“We all know the old man was sick, but the doctors said it will be some time before he is called. But all of a sudden we heard he is dead. We will look into it.”
