Avram Grant nearly sacked Dede Ayew from Black Stars Camp

dede-ayewBut for the intervention of Messrs Cudjoe Fiano and George Afriyie, Coach Avram Grant would have sacked Andre Dede Ayew from the Black Stars camp in Spain for breaking camping rules, Ghanasportsonline can reveal.

Cudjoe Fiano, the deputy chairman of the Black Stars management committee, confirmed this in an interview with Happy Fm this morning.

“Myself and George Afriyie had to intervene and apologize on behalf of Andre Ayew for arriving late in camp because Avram Grant was very unhappy about the player’s late arrival in Spain.” Kujo Fiano told Happy Fm.

“Grant sees Dede as a player who could lead the team in the future and expects him to lead an exemplary life.” Fiano added

Dede’s explanation that he could not get a flight from France to Spain in time so he had to charter one, did not sit well with the Israeli trainer who decided to send back the Marseille talisman but for the intervention of members of the management committee.

Andre Dede Ayew, Christian Atsu and Jeffrey Schlupp were supposed to meet the team in camp in Sevilla a night after the team’s arrival but the under 20 world cup winner reported late.
