Ghana got a timely injury boost ahead of their crucial game against Algeria with the return of captain Asamoah Gyan to training on Tuesday.
The Al Ain ace missed the opening Group C defeat to Senegal on Monday due to illness.
Gyan was sorely missed in the game as the Black Stars threw away an early lead to lose 2-1 to Senegal.
Avram Grant’s side is however likely to profit from the return of their prolific captain for Friday’s must-win clash against Algeria.
Gyan did some light shake up with the team on Tuesday at a session which was closed to the media and the public.
The 29-year-old was expected to return to fullscale training with the side yesterday ahead of the game against Algeria.
