There have been myriad of questions as to whether or not a winter jacket Aseidu Nketia wore in a picture circulating on social media is for males or females.
Some stories and pictures are ok for online, particularly social media; people could update their statuses with them and they are not big deal but if such stories take national discourse, it is clear indication that the country is not serious.
Truth be told, if Ghanaians in Germany did not tag that winter coat Aseidu Nketia wore, how many of us would even notice it was a female coat? The hypocrisy is too absurd! “No radio station would use this as a discussion for their morning show, ah, you think we are joking in Ghana? This is ok for websites and social media updates but morning show on radio, aaba! U paa!” I told my friend who was eager to wake up the next morning to listen to how it would be discussed on … fm.
To my surprise, my friend sent me a voice note (vn) on Whats App the following day. That was Aseidu Nketia’s coat thoroughly discussed on radio. Oh Ekua Ghana! And the most fascinating of all is the pictures that followed when the picture of the General Secretary of the ruling party surfaced online.
I understand the presence of ‘Photoshop’ has made many people creative but we are being creative for irrelevance. We are too creative for irrelevance which is evident in ‘Tweaa,’ ‘Ama Boahema condensed milk,’ ‘Castro sardine,’ among others.
How can the politicians take us seriously when we are not being serious ourselves?
Anyway!

This is not a matter of the nation not being serious. If it were someone else,hu wore that in germany, wouldn’t the same Asiedu make fun of him?In some cases, this is not a story although, but to the extent at which this man carries himself with his loud voice in the country, and talks anyhow to people, regardless of whom and what the person is,claiming as if he knows everything in this world,Ghanaians never expected him to have missed his way out like that.So if people makes fun of him, what’s the non-seriousness of ghanaians? And how does it makes politicians not consider ghanaians serious?ooooh!spare our peace.
