The winter coat is for my wife – Aseidu Nketia admits

903558233_383773The General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has admitted that the winter jacket he wore in the cold weather in Germany belongs to his wife, Vida Asiedu Nketia.

Mr Johnson Asiedu Nketia, popularly known as General Mosquito has been in the news for days now over a camel-coloured, fur-trimmed winter coat he wore during a visit to Germany with President John Dramani Mahama.

The winter coat according to some critics is feminine and should not have been worn by the only General in the NDC.

Speaking on HELLO FM, a sister station of PEACE FM In Kumasi Friday, General Mosquito said the coat indeed is feminine and that it belongs to his wife.

According to him, they (he and his wife) have a winter coat of the same colour and so in the process of packing for his Germany trip, he mistakenly took it; thinking it was his.

Irrespective of the fashion faux pas, Asiedu Nketia said he did not go to Germany for a ‘fashion show’ thus there is nothing wrong in wearing his wife’s winter coat.
