Start Jordan Ayew from the bench

89e097f61aa3514bf3c689f9f4ce0853_LGhanaian spectators in Mongomo are urging Ghana coach, Avram Grant, to start striker Jordan Ayew from the bench in the final group game against South Africa tomorrow at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

They contend that Jordan may be more effective coming on from the bench, considering the pace  of  the South African’s game.

The fans anticipate that the Bafana Bafana will come strongly in their desperate bid to win their first match at the tournament.

“We have seen him play in the first two games and seen what  he is capable of doing.

He played better in the first game for only the first half, his partnership with the captain in the second game was ineffective, so perhaps it’s time to try someone else, ” they told the Graphic Sports.

In reaction, however, Coach Grant insisted that decision would be his perogative, stressing there was a game plan for each match and that would be seen when they lined his up against the Bafana Bafana .

“We understand the importance of this final game. We must win to put our qualification beyond doubt. Our focus has not shifted and we will execute our game plan when the time comes,” Grant said.
