401_bd9435f235cb4005045f2e6c43e9346a_mIt is often a free-for-all sightseeing for males who use the compound of the Ntruboman Senior High School (NtruSec) as a thoroughfare because the bathroom for the female students is in a bad state.

NtruSec, located at Brewaniase in the Nkwanta South District of the Volta Region, has cement blocks arranged as a bathroom for the females, and given the wide gaps in the arrangements, one is able to see through them.

The ‘free show’ bathroom stands few paces between the only congested female students’ hostel and the school’s football park, and students told The Finder that not only do men spy on them when they go to bath, the place has also become a habitat for snakes.

The students complained of how some men and male students often ride motorbikes around their bathroom and when they complain the men insult them.

The school is not walled so some boys in the area go to play football on the school park, and when the boys want to spy on them, they kick the ball towards the bathroom.

The girls hinted of ganging up to physically attack anyone they find spying on them in the bathroom.

A girls’ hostel under construction, with facilities such as bathhouses, located about 200 meters from the school, has been abandoned.

The infrastructure is a GETFund project and, according to some teachers who spoke to The Finder on condition of anonymity, the said contractor has not reported to site since school resumed.

When contacted on phone, the headmaster of Ntruboman SHS, Mr Michael Kwaku Dei, declined to speak on the condition of the bathroom, explaining that the school was bereaved and that he was at Yendi for the interment of a student.
