The Gospel Music in Ghana is taking a tremendous trend. Undeniably it sounds different from what used to be served Ghanaians yesteryears. There have been diverse opinions about it; some argue the spirituality level of it is declining whilst others argue it is opening up for more talents and doing better than previously.
One musical group which is receiving scads of applauds from anyone who listens to them is Shekinah Kavod Ministry. As a Publicist, I hardly listen to music to the end when sent to me but the latest song from Shekinah Kavod Ministry, ‘Fa me ya’ magneted my ears to the end.
Birthed from the CEM Dansoman branch, Shekinah Kavod is not an average Praise and Worship team, but an impact Ministry. Comprising Psalmists, Minstrels, Worshippers and Encouragers of the powerful redemptive messages of God through Music, Shekina Kavod Ministry’s ultimate purpose is reflected in its name “very manifest presence of God”
To the Ministry, though it is directed by Mrs. Mercy B. Nyadanu, their endeavours are nourished by God. Already on the road, the Ministry has been a blessing to many churches and events across the country.
If the measure gauge of Gospel Music in Ghana will be raised, a pivotal name that would hardly skip in its role is Shekinah Kavod Ministry.
