The Founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has expressed delight at the court verdict in the ‘Woyome trial’.

To her, words cannot explain the joy she felt after receiving the news of the Accra-based businessman’s acquittal and discharge.

“I am very happy Woyome has been handed back his money. After all, he is not the first to steal from the State coffers,” she said on NEAT 100.9 FM.

Mr. Alfred Woyome was on trial for receiving over fifty-one (GHc51) million Cedis in judgment debt against the state and even though the Supreme Court of Ghana ordered him to return the money in a civil suit brought before it by the Attorney General’s Department, an Accra High Court has acquitted and discharged him.

This, the Founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party is very pleased with.

Madam Akua Donkor went on to launch a scathing attack on Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum, the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) by stating that “as long as Kwesi Ndoum still enjoys the loot he made from the government during Kufour’s era, Woyome must also be made to keep his”.
