Sex scandal hits NDC Women’s Organizer

152526611_247091The Women’s Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Mpraeso constituency of the Eastern Region, Adwo Sekina Norshie, has been suspended from the party for three months by the constituency executives over sex scandal.

This was stated in a letter signed and issued by the deputy constituency secretary, David Osei Bonsu Effah, on 2 March, 2015 to the Women Organizer to officially relieve her of her position. The letter was written after she had been dragged before a three-member disciplinary committee which instructed after its findings that Ms Sekina Norshie should be suspended for her shameful behaviour.

DAILY GUIDE discovered that she had been accused among other things, of pushing her Deputy Women’s Organizer, Adutwumwah, into sex trade from which she (Norshie) benefited – as stated in section 4 of the findings of the committee.

According to the letter, Adwoa Sekina was unfair to her deputy for asking her [deputy] to have sexual intercourse with any ‘big man’ in the party whom she comes into contact with, so as to generate funds for them to establish businesses in the constituency.

The party also accused the Women’s Organizer of taking money from JOWAK, spreading false allegation against her deputy over some diseases and also doing her private business at the party’s constituency office.

She is said to have insulted the constituency chairman during the party’s national delegates’ congress in Kumasi over monetary matter.

NDC Chairman’s Version

The Mpraeso Constituency Chairman of the NDC, Salisu Mahama, speaking to the paper, emphasised that the Women’s Organizer’s behaviour had greatly disgraced the party.

According to him, when his office discovered the actions of Adwoa Sekina Norshie – which he claimed are against the constitution of the party – he dragged her before a disciplinary committee to be interrogated, and after the committee’s findings, it recommended that the woman should be suspended for three months.

Salisu Mahama said the suspended organiser had the opportunity to plead for forgiveness and that if she came back before the expiry of the three-month period, she would be accepted.

The chairman asserted that the party had therefore, assigned the Deputy Women’s Organiser (Adutwumwah) to take over in the absence of Madam Adwo Sekina Norshie.

Madam Norshie Speaks

When contacted by this paper, Adwoa Sekina Norshie debunked the accusations.

She insisted that the accusations were false, therefore she could not pass any further comments on them immediately; but would come out with her side of the story at the appropriate time.
