The much hyped and attended Republic Hall Week Artiste Night was graced by heavy rainfall during the performances. When Guru stepped on stage, he was hardly heard as the students even sounded louder than him with a microphone. As if the students were reciting their school anthem, all of Guru’s songs performed on stage were recited by the students word by word.

Even in the rain where most people would expect that, the students would run to their comfortable rooms, they stood in the rain responding to Guru’s songs unconcerned about how their designer clothes were being wet by the heavy rain.

The nominee of the much anticipated Ghana Music Awards in 6 categories, Guru in an interview with www.233times.net said he knows how his songs travel and how his fan base is huge but the performance at Repu Hall Week confirmed his unconquerable success amongst the youth in the country. The Rapper expressed his gratitude to the Students and attendees at Repu Hall Week adding that, they have galvanized him to work harder.

Guru is set to release a hiphop banger ‘Baggy Jeans’ with Sarkodie before Ghana Music Awards.
