Sarkodie’s PA confirmed why Sark is successful at VGMA + a wakeup call to MUSIGA

10518653_10153034172830760_327504928590240686_nAt the abysmally organized 16th edition of the Ghana Music Awards, Michael Owusu Addo, Sarkodie was not present to take any of his awards. Instead, the African rap god performed with Shatta Wale at a Beach Concert on the same day and time.

Representing him and taking the awards on his behalf was Angel Town, the stout personal assistant of Sarkodie. When receiving one of the awards, he gave very brilliant remarks which made those in the auditorium engage their hands in unending applause. Those at home expressed how moved they were with those remarks by updating their social media timelines.

For those who couldn’t watch the event, Angel Town Baby as he is aliased said that, the Ghana Music Industry needs a better, tried and tested systems. According to him, those Artistes who are out of main stream music now are struggling in life because there is no better system in the country which sustains them when they are no more in the industry. He called on the Ministers, MUSIGA President and stake holders present to ensure that the systems are ever sustaining for the Artistes even when they are ‘outdated.’

This confirmed why Sarkodie is excelling and unassailable in the music industry. He is surrounded by fine brains that understand the industry and look beyond temporary. For such a comment from a personal assistant, there is no other belief than to accept that, the whole Team Sarkodie are well vested in the industry and understands best what an Artiste should fight for since there is no social security system for Ghanaian Artistes, which makes them end up paupers.

The prayer is that, the administrative heads at MUSIGA have plans for the tomorrow of Ghanaian Artistes and not using the money given them to undertake needless research in Argentina. I’m forced to ask the benefits of that research. Obour, Obour! smh!
