PHOTO: Wizard crash-lands at Adentan taxi rank

Richard-Ahamah-581x400Residents around the Adentan taxi rank – between the Pantang junction and Adentan barrier – are yet to come to terms with how a man in his late 60s was found naked on top of the roof of an uncompleted storey building.

The man, who has been identified as Richard Ahamah, former lotto agent, according to an eyewitness report, was found on top of the building at dawn by some neighbours who raised an alarm.

This attracted a number of people to the scene, with some of the radical youth said to be ready to lynch the old man whom they accused as a wizard who had been exposed by a more powerful force.

The eyewitness indicated that a police officer passing by had to rescue him from the angry mob and sent him to the Adentan police station for investigations.

A man who spoke to DAILY GUIDE at the incident scene also said some pastors who were returning from an all-night prayer tally climbed up and poured a substance believed to be anointing oil on him and left.

The man described the supposed wizard as looking sickly, with a swollen foot and developed breasts.

Ernest Ahamah, his elder brother, when contacted, said he visited his brother on Sunday, April 19, 2015 and gave him GH¢10 for his (younger brother’s) upkeep.

He said the man could possibly have taken in some alcoholic drink which could have led him into the strange situation he found himself.

He continued that his young brother has a self-contained apartment at Adentan new site and had been living in their hometown, Dzodze, in the Volta Region until recently when he returned to Accra.
