I don’t regret campaigning for Prez. Mahama – John Dumelo

John-Dumelo-And-The-President-Of-CongoCelebrated screen icon and TV personality John Dumelo has urged critics of President John Dramani Mahama to get off his back and give him time to solve the numerous challenges that have bedeviled the country.

Speaking to host of Morning Starr Kafui Dey Wednesday on Starr 103.5FM, Dumelo who campaigned for President Mahama ahead of the 2012 elections said the President needs help and not criticism to solve the challenges in the country.

“We should just give him [Mahama] time to solve the problems, the problems are there but it’s four years, Rome wasn’t built in a day… and if after 2016 the problems are not solved then we know what to do.

“But I think a lot of people are putting pressure on him and it’s not as if he doesn’t want to solve the problems, he does so we should just give him time”.

Dumelo also revealed that he lost several endorsements from some companies due to his decision to campaign for the President during the 2012 electioneering period.

“I actually lost some endorsements deals because I did something for the NDC. I don’t regret it at all,” Dumelo said.

Ghana over the last three years has struggled to solve its energy crisis which has led to the collapse of some companies.

The country sheds between 450 megawatts and 600 megawatts during peak and off peak periods. The situation has forced some major companies in the country to lay off workers.
