Your contributions to Ghana are minimal – Power Minister to #DumsorMustStop Celebs

60827397_843567The Mahama led administration has come under severe attacks for failing to tackle the power crisis that has become a nightmare for most Ghanaians.

For the above reason, some celebrities led by Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie and Lydia Forson have decided to come together and organize a vigil to mount pressure on government.

The intended action has angered the minister for Power, Dr. Kwabena Donkor, who believes it is a complete waste of time for the celebrities to organize the demonstration considering the fact that their contributions in the creative arts industry has been minimal to economic development of Ghana.

In a tape which was played on Peace FM’s Evening News Monday; Dr. Donkor was clearly heard saying “I want to walk into New York, go to a museum and see Ghanaian arts being exhibited”.

According to him, the personalities involved in organizing the demonstration “don’t have what it takes to make Ghana’s cedi stable” and would want them to focus more on the crippling industry and make it a major foreign earner for the nation.

As at now the artistic industry isn’t at an enviable level…I don’t see why they are trying to turn an artistic group into a political action group”, he said.

  1. I want share a littler bit of my idea with that energy minister because Ghana as a democratic country everyone have right to express their feelings, saying what he said is bullying and he actually doesn’t know anything about politics because if he thinks Ghana is still like olden days when 75 percent of the populations are illiterate and follow whatever bullshit any politicians say we live in a world now politician like him have to open their eyes and listen to their citizens because without these citizens they are nothing so if he thinks he is too big he is not but a corrupt personality who can’t stand people who express their right.
And anyway these guys are doing it for the good of Ghana and the same politicians who will reap the benefit as it is always so he better shut and acknowledge their effort to make Ghana a better place.
